September was an exciting time for us here at West Heads as we met Julian Stanley and his lovely bees. As part of our efforts to bring a range of food producers/makers to the farm we contacted the Scottish Bee Association and an hour later we got a reply from Julian, the President of Ayr & District Beekeepers Association. Based in Sornhill directly across the valley from the farm Julian was eager to collaborate with us and we are delighted to now have four of his award winning Ayrshire Honey hives on site.
We look forward to welcoming more hives in future and learning all about the beekeeping industry
