With a background in property fund management and development David is a cofounder of Glasgow Collective, one of the city’s first coworking establishments.
Based in the Barras areas of Glasgow, Glasgow Collective has acquired, subdivided and refurbished 5 empty buildings which are now home to over 30 dynamic businesses covering a range of industries and business sectors. The diversity of the membership is a key factor in its success as base from which to grow new business ventures.
David plans to use the lessons learned from Glasgow Collective to create a rural coworking hub at West Heads Farm to help create new business opportunities both for the local town and the surrounding area. There will be a focus on food producers and craft/makers creative spaces together with seminar/workshop space to host events and provide a much needed resource for the local community to benefit from.
Michelle is an instrumental and dramatic arts teacher having also practiced as a public speaking coach at Glasgow Collective. Michelle's passion for the outdoors was ignited and went into over drive when West Heads became available. Having started equestrian pursuits at the age of five and being an avid lover of all things outdoors the prospect of a renovation project and the scope that West Heads has on offer was immensely exciting. The menagerie of animals continues to grow!
